"The best storytelling is not pure escapism, but rather an immersive metaphor for the sometimes harsh and sometimes wonderful realities of life. 

I would like for my work to maintain a narrative quality - to tell stories that are simultaneously magical and searching, whimsical and poignant...

I hope, through the use of visual language, to inspire the fascination of viewers through my work: to lift them from the confines of their reality, and place them gently in a world of dreams and stories.   My desire is to invoke wonder and allow people to observe my narratives, delight in them, and elaborate upon them in their own imaginations."  

Erin Fitzgerald is an artist and illustrator from Corona, CA.  She has been making art for upwards of 15 years, and has studied animation and illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design and Riverside Community College.  She loves animals, mountains, trees, yoga, comic books, and red wine, though not necessarily all at once.
